Naru Maths – Terms and Conditions

Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 17, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“User” or “you”), and Ayesha.

(the “Developer” or “we”), an individual hobbyist developer, concerning your access to and use of the Naru Maths application (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms.

2. Limited License and Service Provision

The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, strictly subject to these Terms. The App is provided free of charge and on an “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” basis. The Developer, as an individual, makes no commitment to maintain, update, or provide support for the App. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or permanently discontinue the App or any feature thereof at any time without prior notice or liability.

3. Account Registration and Credentials

To utilize the App’s full functionality, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration. The only Personally Identifiable Information (PII) required for account creation is your:

  • Email Address: This is retained solely for account authentication, management, and password reset functionality.
  • Encrypted Password Hash: A non-reversible cryptographic hash of your password is stored for the sole purpose of verifying your identity during the login process. The actual password text is NEVER stored or accessible by the Developer.

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify the Developer immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

4. Usage Data and Performance Metrics

In order to deliver the core service, the App automatically collects and stores Non-Personal Usage Data related to your interaction and performance within the App. This data includes:

  • Performance Metrics: Detailed records of your progress, including scores, completion status, and time spent on specific subject areas or modules.
  • User Identifier: This Performance Metrics data is linked to a unique internal User ID for the purpose of tracking your individual progress over time and enhancing the App’s quality.

This data is anonymous (not linked to your name) and is used internally only as described above.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The App, including all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, and graphics (collectively, the “Content”), and the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the “Marks”), are owned or controlled by the Developer and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. No part of the App, Content, or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, distributed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose whatsoever, without the Developer’s express prior written permission.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not access or use the App for any purpose other than that for which the Developer makes the App available. As a user of the App, you agree not to:

  • Systematically retrieve data or other Content from the App to create a collection, compilation, database, or directory without express written permission.
  • Make any unauthorized use of the App, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of users by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email.
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the App.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App or its related software.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the App or the networks or services connected to the App.

7. Termination

These Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use the App. The Developer may, at any time and for any reason or no reason, terminate or suspend your account and your use of the App, including without limitation for breach of any representation, warranty, or covenant contained in these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease and all data may be deleted.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. YOUR USE OF THE APP AND OUR SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE APP AND YOUR USE THEREOF, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF THE APP’S CONTENT OR THE CONTENT OF ANY WEBSITES LINKED TO THE APP.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT WILL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFIT, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, THE DEVELOPER’S LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO US DURING THE SIX (6) MONTH PERIOD PRIOR TO ANY CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING.

10. Modifications and Interruptions

The Developer reserves the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the App at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We cannot guarantee the App will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other issues or need to perform maintenance related to the App, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of the App are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK.
